Quinta do Olival da Murta
A Place with Heritage
Quinta do Olival da Murta is a diverse, family-run agricultural estate rich in stories and traditional knowledge, located just one hour from Lisbon, near the Serra de Montejunto.
The farm grows certified organic grapes from Portuguese varieties, used to craft renowned 'Serra Oca' wines. Organic wine salt is produced and an orchard of apples and 'Rocha' pears is currently restored, following organic production principles.

Vintage Glamping
Various unique accommodation alternatives are currently being installed at the Quinta - from traditional farm stays to luxury wellness cabins.
The first offer made available is the option to have a memorable stay in an original 'VW Transporter' from 1978, fondly named 'girassol' (sunflower). The vehicle has been as well-kept as the estate and offers a comfortable stay in the midst of the vineyard.
'Girassol' has found it's home at Quinta do Olival da Murta, at a fixed location, and has been carefully transformed into a unique and comfortable Glamping Accommodation. (I.e. it is not available for being driven around.) Whilst we consider it most suitable for a romantic getaway for couples, families up to 4 people can be accommodated, as the vehicle offers a foldable bed/sofa on the 'ground floor' (140*200 cm) and a bed on 'the upper floor' (120*20ocm). In the couples' configuration, the main compartment (ground floor) can be used as living room during the day, providing sofa, table and refrigerator - for fantastic white wines from the Quinta - and a built-in closet. The upper floor (foldable roof) will be prepared with a comfortable mattress and pillows - allowing for unforgettable nights underneath the stars.
You can count on the following additional amenities:
- Spacious deck in front of the campervan, so your feet stay dry and clean
- Camping chairs and table, for you to enjoy wining & dining in nature
- Awning above the deck, to protect you from the sun
- Fresh water fountain in immediate surrounding
- WC & shower facilities in a short distance (within the Quinta)
- A 'vintage' breakfast room within the Quinta (see pictures slider above)

Unguided Wine Tasting
Tasting of 2 wine selections, paired by local products.
Duration: 1h30 | Minimum booking: 2 adults
Schedule: 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Picnic
Basket for two people, including 1 bottle of wine and regional snacks. Take it with you for a walk around the estate and enjoy it wherever you like.

Wine Tasting
Visit to the vineyards and winery, followed by a tasting of 4 wine varieties, paired with local products.
